Drug abuse or substance abuse use of any substance or drug in way that is not approved by a medical personnel. It can even be defined as the act of taking substances or drugs in a manner that effects an individual’s life or social life.
Causes Of Drug Abuse:
Ignorance: This is when people do not have knowledge or information about the effect of improper use of drugs on their health.
Criminal intention: People who wants to commit crime use drugs or substances in order to be bold enough to carry out what they want.
Isolation and loneliness: Sometimes people decide to take drugs wrongly because they feel lonely and maybe wants to forget their problem.
Self- medication: This is when people drugs on their own without prescription by medical personnel.
Consequences Of Drug Abuse On Individuals:
Mental disorder e.g madness.
It can lead to disease such as lung diseases, liver sleeplessness, death, shame/disgrace, poor attitude to work.
